Awesome deal: Canada postage stamps

No excuses now, I have everything I need for Christmas card writing!  I lucked out by saving 10% on books of 10 Canada postage stamps at Shoppers Drug Mart.  The sale is nationwide and ends on Friday, November 25.  These “permanent” stamps can be used within Canada for letters, greeting cards, etc. that weigh less than 30 grams.  They are marked with a “P” (see below for image taken from the Canada Post website).  When you see this symbol on a Canadian stamp, the value is the current cost to send a letter within Canada.  There is no expiry date!   If you have old stamps printed with the actual amount on them, you will need to buy stamps in small denominations to add up to the correct postal rate, which is currently $0.59.

I always carry a book of stamps in my coupon organizer (which deserves its own feature post).  Whenever I clip or tear off a “mail-in” refund offer, I tuck that slip along with the receipt and proof of purchase into my organizer so I won’t be missing anything when I have to send in the request.
