You know it must a good deal when I force myself to go grocery shopping on Friday, the first day of a sale. The deal of the week for me is being offered by No Frills. Jane’s frozen, uncooked Pub style chicken nuggets (or strips) are on sale for $4.97/835 g box, a savings of $6 off the regular price. I’ve bought them at this price in the past, and it is the lowest price I have ever seen on this product. I normally don’t buy a lot of processed frozen foods, but my children always want to eat at McDonald’s. A Chicken McNugget Happy Meal costs about the same as an entire box of nuggets on sale, so I’m satisfying my kids’ cravings while keeping a tight grip on my wallet. I actually prefer Jane’s frozen chicken nuggets over other brands. Jane’s uses grain-fed, all white meat chicken and no hydrogenated oils. When you’re exhausted from a long day at work or watching the kids all day, sometimes it’s nice to have “emergency” food in your freezer. I serve the nuggets with a random side dish, e.g. Knorr Sidekicks, French fries or mashed potatoes and some raw vegetables. I’m sure that this deal will be sold out fairly quickly. If you haven’t tried this brand of chicken nuggets before, you can’t go wrong at this price!
