Like most children, my kids love bubbles. My job is to blow them while they run around the backyard and try to pop the rainbow-coloured orbs before they burst or float away. But the cost of the bubble solution really gets me steamed. So what’s a cheapo supposed to do? Make your own, of course!
Here is my recipe for homemade bubble solution, using ingredients found in the kitchen:
- Concentrated dish soap (I used Dawn) – 1-½ cup
- Corn syrup – ¼ cup
- Water – 4 cups
Stir up the above three ingredients gently in a container and you’re done. Pour into old bubble containers or use a foil pie plate for dipping. You can re-use old bubble wands or make your own with pipe cleaners. Happy popping!
