While I was meandering through the mall this morning (there’s an extreme heat alert in Toronto and it’s nice and cool there), I encountered two salespeople outside The Body Shop waving flyers and calling out to passersby. Of course I stopped to find out what they were selling! The deal was 50% off all skin care products until 2 pm today (Wednesday, June 20, 2012), and 50% off all gift sets for the entire day. Before the one girl could finish saying, “Makes a great teacher gift”, I was already in the store, snatching up hand/foot gift sets for the kids’ school and daycare teachers. Most of the smaller gift sets were $15 regular price so with the half price discount, they were only $7.50 plus tax for each of the sets that I purchased. It’s not often you get great timing when you need to buy gifts, so it’s important to spring into action if you see a deal.
Do you make or buy end-of-year gifts for teachers? Or do you not give anything at all? I’d love to hear what other parents do! Please leave your comments below.
