Today is Day 8 of the iTunes 12 Days of Christmas, and the free downloads have resembled picked-over Boxing Day clearance merchandise. I hate looking a gift horse in the mouth but when I reject freebies, you know how bad they must be. So far I have only downloaded the music and the games. An Apple device (iPod touch, iPad, iPhone) is required to play the games but the other items can be downloaded and played through the iTunes application on your PC or Macintosh computer.
Here’s what the gifts have been so far:
Music
Maroon 5 EP (Moves Like Jagger & One More Night remixes)
Ke$ha EP (Only Wanna Dance with You & Past Lives)
Games
Score! Classic Goals
Sonic Jump (featuring Sonic the Hedgehog)
TV Shows
Sherlock, Series 1 – Episode 1 – A Study In Pink
How I Met Your Mother – Season 1 Pilot
Books
The Red Pole of Macau – Ian Hamilton’s Ava Lee Series
Movie Rental
Tom and Jerry: The Fast and the Furry
Judging by this list, do you think that Apple realizes we are in 2013? I am holding out hope that the free movie that is yet to be offered will be worth my while!
