“It’s my blog and I’ll write if I want to” fits nicely to the tune of Lesley Gore’s hit song “It’s My Party”. But it’s true: I own this domain and I don’t need to write for anyone else but me. My relationship with the Henkel Insiders was terminated with the program ending and I have no other sponsors. I am not obligated to write reviews and no one is paying me to blog, so I’ll write when I have time or if I want to. I take pleasure in writing and I still have so much more to share with others. I am entering my third year in the blogging world and I have once again renewed my domain for another year. So we’ll see what this year brings. I pledge to complete the articles that are not stale and publish them. If for nothing else, it’s a pretty good archive of what I’ve been up to.
I’ve seen the changes in the shopping world and in my own habits. Shrinking packages and increasing food prices mean I’ve had to be even more creative to save money, ways that go beyond the couponing and price matching that have become a trendy thing to do. I’ve learned to adjust and evolve to these changes. I now know when to splurge and when to save. Being a cheapo doesn’t mean you should feel deprived.
